• Added SecureKeyAgent key forwarding for SSH Data Communications 3.0.0 server. SecureKeyAgent is the only known SSH agent that will handle both OpenSSH and SSH Data Communications SSH-1 and SSH-2 key agent forwarding requests.
• Added SecureKeyAgent PKI certificate support. SecureKeyAgent now supports both SSH public/private key pairs as well as certificates for SSH authentication. The SSH public/private keys and certificates can be disk based or Smart Card/USB Token based. PKI support requires the SSH Data Communications 3.0.0 commercial server.
• Added enhanced Kerberos 5 support (new kerberos-2@ssh.com) for SSH Data Communications 3.0.0 SSH server.
• Added enhanced support for the SSH Data Communications 3.0.0 commercial SSH-2 server. This server provides advanced authentication support for Kerberos 5, SecurID and PKI certificates.
• Corrected a problem with the SSH-2 rekey logic. SecureNetTerm now supports both the OpenSSH and SSH Data Communications server requests for session rekeying.

SecureNetTerm 5.1 Production Release (Updated 3-11-01)

• Added rijndael128_cbc and aes128_cbc (Advanced Encryption Standard) cipher support.
• Added TLS/SSL telnet support. This requires the SRP 1.7.1 or above advanced telnet server. Authentication methods include SRP, x509 certificates (PKI), Kerberos 4, Kerberos 5 and Kerberos 5 TLS/SSL. The Kerberos 5 TLS/SSL ciphers requires the next release of OpenSSL (0.9.7 ?) or one of the latest OpenSSL snapshots.
• Added internal RSA SecurID Software Token support. These enhancements provides for passcode, next tokencode and new PIN modes by dynamic linking to the RSA SecurID software dll. The selection of hardware token/software token authentication methods is controlled by the SecureNetTerm Security Wizard.
• Added RSA SecurID Smart Card Token support. This software addition also provides the base for Smart Card PKI and Smart Card SSH private key support. The enhancement supports any PC/SC compliant Smart Card reader when used with PC/SC drivers.

SecureNetTerm 5.0 Production Release (Updated 2-20-01)

• Added Kerberos 5 SSH-2 support for the SSH Communications Security version 2.4.0 server.
• Added RSA SecurID SSH-2 support for the SSH Communications Security version 2.4.0 server.
• Added SSH-2 RSA public/private key authentication for the OpenSSH 2.5.0 server release.
• Enhanced the included FTP Server. Both the command and data channels are fully encrypted and the server will only respond to connections from localhost (SecureNetTerm). Each SecureNetTerm instance can have the same logical remote port forwarded to the FTP server; logic within SecureNetTerm manages the physical forwarding of the remote port. This allows multiple instances of SecureNetTerm to share one instance of the FTP server. This enhancement requires release 2.5.0 of the OpenSSH server or the SSH Communications Security server.
• SecureNetTerm also provides support for managing common local to remote FTP client requests to a host. This allows you to use your favorite FTP client to use the port forwarding of SecureNetTerm to establish secure data and command channels to the host. The same "smart" logic as described for the FTP server is utilized to allow multiple instances of SecureNetTerm to have the FTP channels forwarded.

• Corrected a modem setup problem with Windows 2000. The selected TAPI modem was not being displayed correctly.
• Corrected a modem problem with the 4.2b version. The 32 bit version would abort upon connection,

NetTerm 4.2.8 Production Release (Updated 4-19-98)

• Added logic to print the current screen when the printer icon is pressed on the toolbar, if a custom application has not been defined in the Global Settings-Applications dialog panel.
• Added the following special escape sequence which will place the string TEXT on the clipboard:

The string TEXT can be up to 2048 characters

• Added support for the DEC Supplemental Graphics Character Set and the National Replacement Character Sets (NRC Sets). The NRC sets provide character sets for many European languages. This support will require special fonts currently being designed for NetTerm. The fonts will be a Truetype version of the isi_ansi and isi_oem bitmapped fonts.
• Added the emulation type of XTERM.
• Added XTERM style mouse support to the xterm emulation.
• Corrected a problem that caused NetTerm to abort if changes to the modem (via the modem dialog box) were made while connected.
• Added the emulation type of ANSI-CIS. The only difference between ANSI-BBS and ANSI-CIS is the ability to start a CompuServe B+ file transfer automatically. Note that both the ANSI-BBS and ANSI-CIS use the BCE color model (this is the same as the IBM-PC and XTERM color model).
• Corrected a problem with the display of bold characters in the Wyse-50 emulation.
• Corrected a problem with session printing. NetTerm was sending an extra form feed when session printing was turned off.
• Corrected a problem with the "CD .." command within the ftp server.
• Added logic to allow selection of the printer font script for Windows 95/NT.

NetTerm 4.2.7 Production Release (Updated 2-1-98)

• Fixed a problem with sending multiple zmodem files. If NetTerm is requested to send a file, the first file is sent. However if another request is made to send a second file, NetTerm will not transfer the file. This problem was related to the addition of the Winsock II support in the 4.2.5 release.
• Added logic to ignore the mouse message received when the NetTerm window is activated by clicking on it with the mouse.

NetTerm 4.2.6 Production Release (Updated 1-25-98)

• General maintenance release.
• Corrected a TCP/IP (ethernet) problem when the host sends a very large (megabytes) continuous steam of data. On extremely fast ethernet connections this would cause NetTerm to terminate.
• Added the ability to select text with the keyboard. When the ALT-Insert is pressed, NetTerm will place the cursor at row 1, column 1, then enter the manual text selection mode. The arrow keys can be used to move the cursor to the text to be selected. Then the shift-arrow key can be used to mark the text. The Ctrl-Insert key can then be used to copy the selected text to the clipboard. The manual text selection mode will then be turned off. This option allows third party programs to send keystrokes to NetTerm to copy the text to the clipboard.
• Fixed a problem with sending the escape key when the Caps Lock is set on a French keyboard.

NetTerm 4.2.5 Production Release (Updated 1-17-98)

• Added the ability to change both the upload and download file transfer directories from the host.
• Added the ability to request a file upload from the host without operator intervention. This allows the host to tell NetTerm what file should be uploaded when a special upload request is issued from the host.
• Added the ability to start a program on the workstation. Command line arguments, if given, will be passed to the program. NetTerm will wait until the program completes prior to returning to terminal mode.
• Corrected a problem in the Setup-Global Options-Special dialog box relating to sound selection and printing. The radio buttons were not mutually exclusive between the two groups.
• Enhanced NetTerm to support Winsock 2 for Windows 95.
• Updated bulletin board lists in both Chinese versions.
• Corrected some dialog spacing problems in the German version.
• Corrected a problem when switching to 132 column mode if the NetTerm window was maximized.
• Corrected a problem with the time display when the year is 2038, or later.
• Corrected a problem sending the Esc key when various combinations of Caps Lock or Shift key was pressed.
• Corrected a problem with transparent printing with the emulation type of WYSE50.
• Corrected a problem with the QuickButtons when a host is selected for connection by double clicking on the host name in the phone book.

NetTerm 4.2.4 Production Release (Updated 12-5-97)

• Enhanced the printing option "Send to Windows Spooler" to be able to delete the print job after printing. This applies only to Windows 95/NT.
• Corrected a 'missing line' problem within transparent printing.
• Corrected a line draw problem with the isi_vga font.
• Added cursor on/off support as well as allowing for cursor type selection (block/line).
• Added logic to unlock the keyboard (if locked) on terminal reset.
• Corrected a spacing problem when displaying row/column on the status bar.
• Added the ability to perform all of the functions that QuickButtons can perform from the host with the following special escape sequence:

        ^[[]COMMAND^[[5*

where COMMAND is less than 2074 characters and can be any value that a QuickButton can have. For security, the NetTerm option "Allow Program Calls" must be enabled. Refer to the Netterm-Help-Contents Special Escape Sequences for more details on the escape format.
